Small business websites, live in five business days

Replies in the evening, every day

One person. That’s the whole company.

I’m Mason Slaughter, based in Navarre. Weekdays you’ll find me on service calls up and down this coast, which is how I ended up building websites for the people running those businesses.

We probably do similar days

My day job is a plumbing technician. Service calls, other people’s houses, and explaining to a homeowner in plain language what’s actually wrong and what it’ll cost. Before that it was automotive: lube tech, then shift lead, and technical college for automotive technology.

So if you’ve ever had to talk somebody down from a scary-sounding estimate, we’ve had the same afternoon. Your customer doesn’t want jargon any more than mine does. They want to know what it costs and when you can be there. A site that says that plainly does a lot of the talking for you, and it’s the part most contractor websites get wrong, usually because whoever built them had never done the job.

How this started

Wired by Friday started in 2025. Every site gets sold, scoped, built, and launched by the same person, from the first call to the day it goes live. There’s also ClearTextAI, a software company I co-founded, where I train the deep learning model behind the product.

All of it got built on nights and weekends, around the service calls. That’s not a complaint. It’s where the five-day turnaround came from, because nobody working two jobs has patience for a six-week discovery process, and you probably don’t either.

What working together looks like

  • Five business days. Scope gets agreed before anything starts, so the deadline is a real one rather than a hopeful one.
  • Fixed price. You’ll have the number before you get off the call. No hourly surprises later.
  • You get a person. No account manager, no handoff, no offshore team. When something breaks at 7 PM on a Tuesday, you get me rather than a ticket number.
  • Built to be found. Technical SEO comes with the build instead of arriving later as an upsell.
  • Built to be fast. Your customers are on a phone with two bars in a parking lot. This site is the demo, so judge it on that.

A few things you won’t run into

If a job isn’t one I can do well, you’ll hear that on the call rather than three weeks in. There’s no long contract to sign and nothing held hostage afterwards. The site is yours, and if you ever want to take it somewhere else, I’ll help you move it.

Want to talk it through?

Send me a few lines about your business. No pitch deck. I'll tell you honestly whether I can help, and we can get on the phone from there if it makes sense.

Tell me about your business

I read every message myself and reply in the evening, usually the same day.
