Website care plans

Hosting, updates, and edits handled so the site does not rot.

Who this is for

The site is done and you would rather not think about it again. The catch is that sites quietly rot: a certificate lapses, hours go stale, something breaks and nobody notices for a week. This is for anyone who would rather fire off a quick email than log into anything, and who would like someone to spot the problem before the customers do.

What you get

  • Hosting handled, including the domain and certificate renewals that quietly expire and take a site down
  • Backups, so a bad change is an inconvenience rather than a disaster
  • Uptime monitoring, so I usually know before you do
  • Small edits when you need them: hours, prices, a new service, a photo, seasonal changes
  • A monthly look at whether anything has broken or slowed down
  • You email me. There is no ticket system and no portal to log into.

How it works

  1. Ongoing Hosting, backups, and monitoring tick along in the background. Nothing for you to do here, which is the whole point.
  2. When you need a change Email me what you want changed. Small edits get done, usually same week.
  3. Monthly I check the site over and tell you if anything needs attention. If nothing does, I say that instead of inventing work.
  4. Whenever you like You can stop. The site is yours, and I will help you move it somewhere else if you want to go.

Care plans are quoted per site rather than sold at one price, because a five-page site that changes twice a year and a booking system that changes weekly are not the same job. What moves the number is the size of the site, how often you expect edits, and whether hosting sits with me or stays with you. You get the figure on the call, and it stays the same month to month.
