Small business websites, live in five business days

Work

Every project here is a real business with a real site. The problem they came to me with, what I built, and what happened after.

Pro-Grade Trailer Rentals homepage: a dark hero over a photo of a flatbed trailer, headline "Trailer Rental in Milton, FL", with Book a Trailer and call buttons.

Pro-Grade Trailer Rentals

The problem

Two trailers, and every booking ran through phone tag. Renters wanted to know what was free this weekend, and the only way to find out was to call and wait for a callback.

What I built

  • A real booking calendar: pick your trailer, your dates, and your pickup and return times, with a turnaround gap so a morning drop-off frees the rest of the day
  • The weekly deal priced automatically: book seven days, pay for six
  • The rental agreement online, fillable at checkout or downloadable as a PDF
  • Email confirmations to the owner the moment a booking lands, plus an admin panel to add or move rentals by hand
  • Email verification on every booking, so the calendar does not fill up with bot entries
SeaChange Mental Health homepage: the headline "Room to breathe, and care that listens" above two office cards, Navarre with a photo of the provider and Crestview with a photo of the brick office building.

SeaChange Mental Health

The problem

The old WordPress site had been hacked and was quietly serving casino spam to Google. At the same time the practice was opening a second office with a second provider, each with their own booking calendar, and a patient landing on the wrong one was a real risk rather than a cosmetic one.

What I built

  • A hand-built static site with nothing to hack: plain HTML, one stylesheet, one small script, no WordPress and no plugins
  • A front door that asks which office you want and then keeps you inside that office’s pages, so a Crestview patient can never be routed onto the Navarre provider’s calendar
  • One scheduling page that splits into two independent panels, one per provider, so every Schedule button on the site goes through the same guard
  • Statewide telehealth pages for Orlando, Tampa and Tallahassee, shared by both offices rather than duplicated, so the ranking signals stay in one place
  • A redirect map from every old WordPress URL to its new home, with the injected spam URLs set to return 410 Gone so the hack drops out of Google instead of being passed along
